Premier BPO, Inc. And YOUR BUSSINESS In China

If your company is not outsourcing your business processes, you are losing money and paying for lower proficiency. This conclusion is inescapable: by dedicating a substantial portion of your internal human talent and resources to your non-core competencies (back office business functions), you are failing to maximize your focus on your core competencies. By failing to maximize your focus on your core competencies you are failing to maximize your profit potential. The world's most successful companies know this. And, consequently, the world's most successful companies outsource these non-core competencies.

It is an equally inescapable truth that if your company is outsourcing your business processes and you haven't considered China as your offshore geography of choice, your company should do so post haste! Here, in a nutshell, are the compelling reasons why your company must scrupulously consider outsourcing your business processes in China:

As the direct result of a number of converging factors, a significant and rapidly increasing move is clearly indicating that businesses who outsource their business process functions to China are realizing substantial savings and enjoying increased productivity. In short, China is not only the hottest financial center of focus for the global economy but it is quickly becoming the hottest geographical locale on the planet for placement of outsourced business processes, bar none.

There are multiple reasons for this calculated modification of business practices among the most successful companies in the world today:

Alternatives to India, The Philippines and other offshore locations: Greater Savings, Less Attrition

It is becoming more and more clear that leadership teams of the most successful businesses are looking for alternative sites to offshore locations such as India and the Philippines. China provides the perfect alternative in this regard with a cost savings of 20 to 30% less than India and the Philippines. Moreover, the troublesome problems related to attrition are greatly reduced in China with it's considerably lower attrition rates. A major obstacle in most geographical locations, attrition is only approximately 10% in China as compared with India which is considerably higher at 40 to 60%.

Risk Mitigation.

As wiser, more strategically savvy companies look for solutions to relieving themselves of increasingly expensive and burdensome business processes, forward thinking companies are recognizing the substantial benefit of placement of these services in multiple locales thereby substantially mitigating their risks. Therefore, even those businesses who are currently outsourcing in India, the Philippines and elsewhere have established China as their chief risk mitigation alternative.

A Massive, Talented Pool of Workers.

In China, some 50 million well educated, language proficient Chinese workers are added to the workforce every year. The Chinese national is endowed with an adept work ethic, capable of grasping the skills necessary to resolve even the most demanding business solutions. China already has 2,000,000 IT professionals and revenues of $8.9 billion (nearly half of India's total) and this figure is growing at a compounded rate of 20%.

Leveraging Lower Wages.

With a population of 1.5 billion, wage rates as much as 40% to 50% less than India's and over $50 billion in direct foreign investment, China has emerged as a compelling and efficient center of operations for processing the back office functions of clients by provider companies such as Premier BPO whose locations in China have allowed Premier to better leverage its extensive leadership expertise in multiple back office functions such as billing support, accounting and medical verticals, help desk and analytical skill sets for U.S. companies.

Multiple Strategic Locations-Multiple Strategic Benefits.

In recognition of these compelling market factors, Premier BPO, Inc. has made a significant investment in China as the quintessential Business Process Outsourcing geography and has established two state of the art business process centers initially in Tianjin and, subsequently in Kunshan to complement it's operations in The Philippines and Pakistan. By so doing, Premier BPO offers it's diverse client base the attractive benefits of a substantially diversified geographic base and service offerings in multiple verticals.

The city of Tianjin is one of four Chinese municipalities. With over 600 years of history, it is a Chinese historical and cultural center. Because of it's geographic and strategic location to the nation's capital, Tianjin was the earliest international customs and harbor center and has progressively evolved into China's primary electronic manufacturing base and IT center. Its population of 13 million inhabitants and a surface area of 11,900 km make it one of the most densely populated cities in the country. As the site for the 2008 Olympics, nearly $40 billion was spent to further upgrade the infrastructure of the greater Tianjin/Beijing area.

Recognizing the substantial initial success of it's own extraordinary first hand experience with the excellent work force in it's initial operations in Tianjin and with leading observers of the BPO offshore industry confirming that China is the newest, most highly desirable location for outsourcing BPO functions, Premier opted for a strategic expansion to service the advancing influx of businesses wisely seeking to outsource their knowledge based business processes. Thus, Premier committed additional substantial resources to establish a second highly productive facility in Kunshan, China.

The Driven Chinese Work Ethic.

The combination of an excellent work ethic and the prospect of Chinese colleges graduating 1,000,000 new knowledge workers every year, China provides a ready pool of some of the best educated talent available to perform back office functions for Premier BPO's clients. The Profile of the average Premier BPO Chinese Customer Service Agent is a highly educated, 22 to 26 year old, single University graduate with proficiency in English, strong motivation to succeed and possessing an excellent work ethic.

An Abundance of Educational Excellence in the Most Dynamic Financial and BPO Center Cities.

A practical example of the highly educated and readily available work force, is Premier's partnership with multiple local institutions of higher learning. Premier has established an internship program partnership with the Tianjin Commerce University whereby graduating seniors spend a year at the Premier Tianjin facility to learn and be trained in the BPO business. These internship projects, involving graduating seniors, not only inure to the benefit of the grateful universities and Premier, but also to the benefit of the students who gain vocational experience and specialized skills while they are advanced students and, by the time they have finished their specialized Premier BPO training, most of them progress to fully productive, full time agents. Both Dean Huang of the English Language Department and Administrator Jang, who himself spent 10 years at NASA Houston praised the project and cooperative partnership with Premier BPO, Tianjin.

Premier subsequently built on that experience and duplicated the success of it's Tianjin operation in an equally successful manner in Kunshan, a widely recognized leading city in the BPO industry. Kunshan's strategic proximity to Shanghai's major universities provides a stream of excellent English-speaking students and graduates who, in turn, provide Premier with an abundant source of BPO agents. Kunshan is located in Jiangsu Province approximately 40 miles from Shanghai and is classified as a county level city, ranking number one in the economical rankings of counties. Jiangsu Province has the #2 economy in China with a population of 80 million supporting 115 Universities and Colleges with a total enrollment of 1 million students recently prompting Duke University to announce that "Kunshan, located in the Yangtze River Delta, boasts one of the fastest-growing economies in China." As a tangible recognition of that fact, Duke has recently forged a new cooperative educational partnerships in Kunshan which will significantly increase the university's presence in that China and create new opportunities for education, research and public service. The Duke-Kunshan campus, a partnership between the university and the municipal government, will include a five-building teaching, research and residential center built by the municipal government. (Duke's January, 2010 announcement is available for review at http://news.duke.edu/2010/01/kunshan.html)

Duke has also included Shanghai, home to 60 universities, in it's plans for it's Fuqua School of Business which "will focus on executive MBA and non-degree executive education programs, a pre-experience management training master's degree, training of Ph.D. students and the recruitment of top faculty." Interestingly, Duke's educational partner in this venture is Shanghai Jiao Tong University, one of the leading universities in China and one of the universities from which Premier recruits heavily to staff it's Kunshan facility.

Premier BPO President, Jeff Michel opined, "with our substantial relationships with the institutions of higher learning in Kunshan and Shanghai, we have the benefit of recruiting from some of the most proficient educational talent in China. Thus, Premier is quickly becoming a leader in BPO services with highly educated, highly qualified agents in multiple verticals from which to offer our clients the very best in BPO solutions."

Infrastructure Superiority.

While the quality of education and the impressively low attrition rates are extremely attractive to Premier's clients, Premier has been equally impressed with the advanced quality of China's infrastructure. China now has 175 million phone lines, compared to India's 34.5 million. Bandwidth in China is now 7.5 gigabits per second, according to Dataquest, a research firm. In India, bandwidth is 1 gigabit per second. This advantage translates into much more efficient and reliable services to Premier's clients.

Premier BPO focuses it's services in multiple markets and diverse vertical applications. A leader in managing business processes for the cable industry, Premier also provides multiple services for the medical billing and financial services vertical markets as well as other industries seeking to improve their back office efficiencies. The new, state of the art offices of Premier in Tianjin are situated in the recently constructed Huayuan Software Park, a location also selected by Microsoft, which recently opened offices in the same complex. Premier's facility can support up to 270 associates per shift. The ultra-modern facilities in Kunshan also boasts state of the art IT equipped facilities and can service up to 500 associates per shift. Both Premier facilities maintain reliable and consistent connectivity to Premier's global network via redundant high speed fiber links.
